Brichardi (jewel cichlid?)

Brichardi are extremely aggressive. I'd expect them to kill your gups. Why did you think that they needed 'company'? When they lay eggs, (40 or so) they will take excellent care of them. After each batch the previous fry care for the new ones. Like the Brady Bunch. They do not eat thier fry.

I hate guppies.

The brichardi have extremely interesting behavior, and are a delight to breed, I'd look into the daffodil if you like these.

Right now the guppies that are left are fine, no fin nips either. The 4 brichardi that are left are quite peaceful to each other, wondering if they will outcast another member.
