Or something like that.

everyday we are inundated with threads about Show Quality Fish in Show Quality tanks that will live out Their lives eating the best of foods, While frolicing about with a harem of bad fishes while swimming in Evian.

So for a change lets see some of the finless, eyeless, deformed, and half eaten fish that are a part of Your prized collection. That, even If you could Part with them... Well You prolly' would! But in the meantime they will spend the rest of their days somewhere in your collection... far away from Your display tank.IMG750.jpg

farlowela minus a tail. don't know how it happened, Just know that his running buddies have beautifull tails with long streamers and he just has a nub.

I don't have any crippled fish or deformed fish. But, I used to have a pleco that had no back fins and I didn't realize it until he started coming out during daytime. He had the best personality of any "shy" fish id ever seen! He came to the top and fed with the cichlids! He even "swam" on the turtles shells! He died though of unknown causes and I couldn't find him. Probably the turtles :(. He swam so cool!

I got a silver dollar that's been with us for a long time. He orginally came from my little brothers first aquarium we set up in his room. There were two of them and both were healthy and fine. But through neglect and living with a insane electric yellow cichlid (who was notorious for killing his tankmates even after we gave him away ) they became deformed. His partner died a few months back. He had a swim bladder problem and constantly floated and did loops for 6-7 years after I saved him from the torture tank... He ate fine but was a wonder how he stayed alive for so long. They were both beat up with torn/permanently damaged fins. The one I still have from that tank is still crippled but not as bad as the first (no swim bladder disease...he doesn't swim in loops). He has the tiniest little pectoral fins that are barely visible along with no ventral fin. His caudal fin is permanently split in the middle. His anal fin is also severly reduced in size which looks like the tip of a knife, red in color about 1/4 of an inch long. He is definitely stunted in his growth. His jaw also curves to the left side of his face when you look at him head on. Kinda like bubba gump... At times I have thought of getting rid of him as he doesn't match the other (perfectly healthy) silver dollars/red hooks that I got later, but to be honest he has really grown on me. I normally don't name any of my fishes but his name is Tardie which is in memory of his buddy who died Tard (RIP). I would post a pic but don't know how...

I feel you on this one. Sometimes because Our Fish are such survivors and have endured so much, It makes it kinda hard to put them out of their misery. If your photos are on Your computer just click on the little "insert image" greenish square above the reply box. We would love to see a pic of such a survivor.

I have a veil angel, beautiful black fish, but has some hardcore lip fibroma. Also had a platy with one eye, it used to have two.... lived a healthy life for a few months then mysteriously dissapeared....

She posed great for the picture... right in front of the worst scratched part of the tank.

So will you take my grandma then? She fits the description.
