"everyday we are inundated with threads about Show Quality Fish..."

How many of these so-called Show Quality Fish (other than Dan Ye's) have actually been entered in...or won awards in a fish show?

Fish in the wild live a hard life...lots of stuff trying to eat them...a battle for food. Funny how they don't always look perfect!

So will you take my grandma then? She fits the description.
Post a pic!:)

Here we go, It never fails! If you go through almost every Build or New acquisition thread. Members tend to post quality pictures of High Quality fish. Seldom do you see anyone willing post their damaged goods unless asking for help. hence the analogy of "Show Fish"

^^^ Very Usefull Info. for some reason I had the odd impression that Fish were pampered in the wild.:duh:

I really need to get some pictures, but this can be hard.
I have a 1 eyed Raphael. Thats how I bought him. I have another striped raphael which down one side the stripe stops halfway for about 1cm and then starts again. I have another raphael which pretty much has a stump for its side fin. And I recently bought 4 Tandanus Catfish with no eyes.

I have a lima shovel nose catfish that lost it tail from fin rot. I was rotted away all the way to his pectoral fin. I thought it was gonna die so I threw it into a ten gallon without any filter or heater. I had it in there for six months only doing one water change. I look in there, and I see it swimming around and its still alive in my 100 gallon tank for a year now.
