Bringing Ghetto Back

Due to a non fish related accident I had to move my sump ASAP, to a location where I had little space. So the new temporary sump is a 18 gallon Rubbermaid with a flower pot holding the bio media, and a filter mat on top of the bio media. The water flows through a bottle stuffed with polly fill, and works like a shower head, there is a overflow built into the bottle.

This is just a temporary setup, but I love these ghetto threads so here you go, good for one laugh.

Normally I try to be very encouraging and supportive to projects on this forum. My 2 cents today is that we try to use another term besides "ghetto" when describing our "quick and dirty" projects.

Having said that, much kudos to your creativity.

Well having lived in the real ghetto, I am not offended; if some people are they might want to go find a shoulder to cry on. If it makes the hyper sensitive people happy we can call it Jury Riging, this was ment to be funny, not a place debating.

I've heard much more offensive terms than "ghetto" lol
When I worked at the fish hatchery, we referred to some of our more comical DIYs as "hillbilly" as it fit much better with the farm atmosphere, but of course, the right people could be equally offended by that...

That's an interesting setup you have there...lol
