Fish room most of the time.
Bought a Ornate Bichir at 5-6 inches for $20 and got a 5 inch Jardini for $30. I didn't want the Jar but such a good deal. I will add pictures when they are fully acclimated and are comfortable for awhile. These are bought at half price. We have 2 stores in Portland that advertises special half off for the holidays. Wished they had more varieties in stock for freshwater, these 2 stores's main niche is Saltwater.

I will attempt to add the Jar and the Ornate with lots of cover in a 90 gallon until I can get a bigger tank. I am in the market for a 300 gallon, so when that day comes, my Jar, Ornate and other growing out fish will go into the 300 gallon.

I was hoping to get a Black Arrowana, and 2 Fire Eels, and 1 Endlicheri to grow out, but the Jar will do. I may end up housing the Jar in a tank of its own when he or she shows its aggression.

Happy New year and happy fish keeping.

Sounds like you brought in the new year a great way because i did the same. I recently purchased 2 pacus about 2in in size with a new 30 gal tall tank and all of my fish are loving it...
Pacus were $5.99 a piece which isn't that bad IMO. Over the year my next upgrade is a 75 gal.

dude, the pacu will be 10-14 inches in about 4 months lol. Might want to consider a quicker upgrade.
I know they grow fast, im on a tight budget right now so i guess i'll just see what goes in a couple months and keep track of everything...

Wow sweet deal. You really lucked out!!!

Thanks, and believe it. I guess I'll need to shoot some pictures to prove it. Fed 5 crickets last night and another 5 today, he's starting to look much better. I will picture Thursday. Hope everyone gets lucky as I did. I'm hoping to get 1 or 2 more fire eels.

killer deal, i'd love an ornate but just dont have a proper tank / room for one anyways

- in response to the pacu guy, when those things get that big if ur not willing to upgrade enjoy your flood when they get mad and break the glass :x

A 75g should be enough for a CB ornate since they don't grow as large as their WC friends
