bristle nose anyone?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
so the female bristle will have bristles on and around the front and sides, but just lacking the ones on top?

yes females bristles are also smaller on average. i think with the species you have, if any bristles present on a female would probably be no more than little stubs. however in some species bristles arent a sure indicator unless you have them next to each other, shown here by this male and female ancistrus ranunculus

eg Ancistrus ranunculus.jpg

thanks...
has anyone had success in breeding them? Not sure I'd want to, but am curious..

I have bred BN, 3 different species. Davo, and several others have as well. In general BNs are fairly easy to breed. Good beginner plec to breed.
