canned peas, wow. ok, i might test that and see what happens.

the 29 gallon, needs to be cycled. it was being used as a planted tank but i removed all the dirt recently and bought a new filter. it is bare right now, no substrate or fish or anything. the filter is running and the heater is on though. i thought about getting some duckweed and malasian trumpet snails from a pet store to help it get on track, the water is cloudy right now and im not sure what to do about it.

I wouldn't put more than 1 in there. I have a horde of them k(my own+their offspring) in my tank and it ruins it IMO.

ya, i used to have a horde of them, i know what you mean, thank you for the warning. this time though im planning on not putting a substrate in there, just drift wood. that way i think if they turned into a horde i could just pick them out since i should be able to find most all of them. iv also got assassin snails to help me out.
