Hey guys, i would like to know what is the breeding age of these guys and how fast can they grow. I currently have 4 of these plecos (the albino one). Hope someone can assist me. Thanks in advance! :D

I bought mine at about the same size; They do not grow especially fast, in the course of 2-3 months mine have grown ... half an inch? Though if your providing better conditions they may grow quicker. And breeding age - when the males bristles become forked he is of breeding maturity :]

Hope i was of some help :P

Yes but only sub-adults to adults. Just my rotten luck all turn out to be females especially the long-finned bristlenose pleco which cost a lot. Where did you get yours? I have yet to find male BNs.

at about 2'' they should be showing signs of bristles - i believe they hit 2inches at about 6months under normal fish keeper conditions (believe i read that some breeders have pushed it to 3months)

Gah Lupin, i got nothing but males >:[ wanna trade? lol.
Headin down the LFS at the end of the month and buying me another 3 or 4, hoping to get them all at 4''+ i wanna be sure they're females this time lol. Just my luck to get a late bloomer or two!

Wow all females ? that is not bad luck! they can be sex around 9-12 months depends on the food you feed them and water changes.

I have several babies that are both normal and albino in color. Looking to either sell or trade them if anyone is interested

I currently have 7 BNs, all 2 inches or under. Two are right around 2 inches - one has tiny bristles sprouting and the other does not. None of the smaller ones have any signs of bristles yet.
