ahh yes the lights, i had noticed this too in my gars.
what i did in one tank was to switch to an 'instant on' ballast which means no noise or flickering when comming on. and another tank has 'soft start' bulbs which come on gradually...quickly but gradually. this along with the timers i always use on my tanks has aleviated that problem for me.
i recommend to anyone not yet using timers that it solves 50% of the problem Jordan and solomon noted...just my opinion, but i think they get used to the time the lights come on and are no longer supprised by it.
what do you guys think about this? can you expand on this?
