Reason why with complete the aro won't be able to use it's eyes but to rely more with its barbels for navigating. It exercise the barbels that's why it grow longer.

Thanks guys, will keep you updated. Still hanging in there, I mean the broken barbel. I'll give it some time to fix it's self and see what happens. Oh well, still love the the aro, just a bit different now.
Well to my surprise the broken barbel that was hanging reattached its' self. I did have the lights off for the past week and I believe that might have helped. Thanks for the tip!!! The other barbel looks like it grew as well, they are uneven now by 1/4", but I can live with that.
