Broken glass

Hello; I have done this sort of thing on smaller tanks with success. One has held up for many years. As mentioned that is a lot of water and there is a level of risk. The plan to have it sit full for a few weeks is sound. Hope you have a place where a leak or sudden failure will not do damage.

Can the crack spread any further? If it could then I would be worried if it can't it should be fine. I have a crack in my 220 that's 6" from the bottom. Put a 1/2" piece of glass on the inside no problems. Tank been up and running for years.

The glass has about 3 or 4 cracks from top to bottom but the new glass I put in is not right up against it . It's about a quarte inch away n siliconed on both sides

I put the glass in and a buddy helped me but he didn caulk to well n it kinda looks messy
