7 different pieces of glass with some containers of worm to counterbalance the weight at the other end.

I’ve rece
I’ve had a few tanks break on me and I just use the glass for lids and whatnot, mixing them together from various tanks from over the years to create a Frankenstein lid.

I have a pile of glass
I recently cut a piece and made a dividend tank for my new pixie frog Set up It’s always nice when you can repurpose stuff

I love all the suggestions, my only problem is money’s tight and honestly I can’t afford another tank. I’m gonna use my grandmas soil and she has peat moss for the tank because I wanna do a terrarium and possibly in a few months get a pac man frog. I have a gold ribbon plant and I’ll get some other kinds of moss too. It came with a really nice screen for the top and the sides are all sealed. I put a background on the inside of the tank to cover the hole and cracks. I’ll send pics in a few minutes.

Get a pixie frog!
I have both pixie and pac man and the pixie is so much more active and fun to keep just a side note

Pixie frogs get to big, but are very cool. I like the pattern of the albino pac man frogs, and how I won’t have to look for them because my LFS always have them.

Potentially can get big, but not all will actually get huge like you see in pics
Availability will depend on where you are I do agree but you can get one shipped anywhere in USA for $45 so mostly likely not a option for you

I’ve seen them $30-75 for 1-2 in size
Pac man $12-25 for most green or albino

Pac man can still get a good size when full grown
I like both I have both just saying pixie is very active compared to pac man my pixie comes out daily to feed and play pac man almost never see him.. both cool either way fun but consider it bud

Do either of them like to be held? That’s a bid thing for me. I have a gulper catfish who would be a dog if he could? I hand feed him and he even lets me pet him. So I want another animal I can interact with.

I got a Pac-Man frog, unless you start to “play “ with it at an early age, it prefers a sitting life but may let you pet it.

This is a reason why I suggest pixie
No matter what you do it will still come out daily to feed and hunt
I started feeding mine with chop stick but i still find out easier to grab him and feed in a smaller dirt free container then place him back when done
He can eat his substrate but I try to Minimize it

If you have time and money is tight then it's good experience to fix broken tanks. Sometimes the best way to learn is from failure. I've patched glass tanks with ceramic tiles, slate pieces, tinted glass, joined tanks together, etc. Have even made tank stands from glass.

When I was 12, I had 200+ polystyrene fish boxes for tanks.
