Broko... New food new color

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That broko is ugly any ways, I'll be out this weekend to pick it up and I'll even give you a bahia to replace it:grinyes:

I've got my broko off of massivore and onto NLS. I've read the debates before and I'm not trying to take this topic there.... Let the pics speak for themselfs. The first pic was taken jul3 and that was the last week he took massivore. The next two pics are from tonight (one pic was with a flash, I hate using flash but I was trying to capture true color). About 1month later. He has taken nothing but straight NLS pellets.
He's about 15" now so I doubt its just a "growth spurt" with new colors.
Same tank same lighting same fish. Different food

very nice broko but with the pics you post 1st pic has diffrent lighting..lighting can adjust colors on your fishing bringing out certain colors on your fish..thats just my 2 cents

Ya it looks like its in a completely different tank. Lighting is way different looking, it almost has a blue haze.

I can assure you its the same lighting and same tank as the first pic. The only difference being my 5 floodlights over the span of the 10' tank. So in one area the light is not as bright another area.... However this green is not effected by the light I will get a picture of him in the shadows tonight to prove that the green is still there whether the broko is under direct light or in shadow.

The fish doesn't turn from brown to green as he swims under the light. The color change is either from maturing or change in diet

Same tank..... Same light...... The blue haze is from my crappy camera phone not adjusting to the direct light

Ill agree the camera used differnt setting between the 1st and later two pics. The love/hate of cell phones, But seeing it go through the full change in person you all would have seen a huge difference. First pic he took to me is the best day, best pic for what that fish use to look like the, what that fish looks like now is far different. Just an idea here is with a good camera taking a picture a little while ago, same fish, the best pure reprsentation of the actual color on what the fish looked like before in the best of lighting and camera adjustments, im a photograhper, the green it has now is by far amazing compared to this. If you get too beat up about the ugly fish i would be then happy to throw it in with my ugly fish. At least it eats well, inside joke as I have a stupid non eating bass that I obtained. We can always trade them, lol

Sounds like you've been learning how to take pictures from Gangster haha

Lol honestly I don't have time to wait for the perfect pic and I don't have a good enough camera to capture a "good pic" I walk down to the tank and wait until a fish is in good lighting, snap a few photos and then share the best one. No editing. No change of lighting or any doctoring up in anyway.
I'll snap some pics of the fish tonight in a shaded area to resemble my 1st pic posted. But bottom line myself and others have seen the fish change for the better by far and I guess the rest lies on my lack of photography skills

Man.. we never see brockos in Uk..
Such a stunning bass.

I like the look of the second pic. . But just marginally.

K guys figured out the problem. My camera phone was auto focusing with some damn blue tint. I took pics in different areas of the tank with different direct light. Even turned off a few of the bulbs for dim look you'll notice even in the shadows the fish is still GREEN not brown haha. If this doesn't satisfy then this thread needs to die!!!! Lol
