Even better! they look like mine that just have the black lines, mine are in the sump so i dont worry to much about them burning my rays lol

i normally go to bigals oakville, one of my friends used to work there and i talk with one of the managers fairly regularly. hah, ya i havent been there in about 2 months, was talking to someone about a 55g that was on sale, was thinking of setting up a small cichlid tank. Im not to sure who i was talking to about it.

you work there part time ?

Might have been me. I look Amish if that helps you remember if it was me. Shaggy chinstap beard.

I just work there a few times a week, but (Peter, the big guy with shaved head) my friend and longtime coworker works there the rest of the time. Doug the owner, myself and Pete all worked for Superpet. Doug at the Oakville location and Pete and I in Burlington. When Petsmart bought us out, Doug decided it was time to offer the fish hobbyists an alternative. so nearly a year ago he started building the store. It has been too many years since burlington has had an Aquarium shop. Between the last two failing, one going under and the other burning down in a fire... all that Burlington has had is Petsmart and Superpet. We are tucked in the corner of the plaza and are still trying to get the word out that we are here. Support is appreciated. Let me know if I can help you with anything.

Is that gravel or sand there?

if its eating krill and black worms i would skip the black worms and feed krill and red wigglers or night crawlers cut up

actually its a mixture, its about 35lbs on sand and 25lbs gravel,
all from estes.

i have done this a few times in other tanks i find it gives the tank a slightly more natural look rather than one size of grain

Congrats!
