I have some brown algae starting to form on some of my anubias and the heater of my tank. I'm trying to keep a low light tank and am running a single 48" light on the tank (72x18x18) stocked with polypterus. Obviously Otto cats are simply a morsel, are there any other options?

plecos, asimease algea eater (large). ho bigs the polipterus

olive nerite snails will work wonders. i dont think he'll eat them. mine hasnt

Most snails will work. I'd recommend Ramshorns. I have no problems with my ramshorns and my poly, and my snails breed in that tank.

I may grab a couple ramshorns then. I will never be placing a pleco back in with my polypterus, way too much damage done to them. I placed a small CAE and it didn't last the night. The polys range from about 4.5 to 7".
