brown algae

yo you should try algae eaters, but small ones, go to your lfs and ask for small algae eaters, then theres also algae pellets you can drop in the water. but yea any of those two will work.

Be careful with the asian algae eaters, some of them turn carnivorous as they get older and will actually feed on the slime coat of larger fish, potentially killing them. I would try a smaller pleco personally. I've also heard that upping the water changes can help. I'm under the impression that algae tablets can harm the fish, anyone have input on this?

you could try an algae eating fish, but first, how bright is your lighting, and is your tank close to any windows?
