^^^ you said you're getting silver dollars, if you get them from petsmart PLEASE quarantine them first, i work at one and ive never seen a shipment that didnt have ich, they're incredibly susceptible

I was going to, but my BF convinced me that they were to small and that my bichir would eat them. So I got 3 tinfoils. That I HATED for lack of a better word. They were waaay to high energy for my tank. So I took them back and got a 4 pack of silver dollars.. and some danios.

I got the silver dollars and the knife from the same petsmart, they all seem fine as of now.. I thought he had ich but the other night I saw him out and could sneak up on the tank with the light on and there were no more spots on him.

When I picked up my ABK (from petsmart on sale) I had looked at the tank a week prior and all of the fish in thier tank had no spots and seemed healthy. After about two days of him being in the quarantine tank he started showing signs of ich. I treated with salt and turned the heater up and it went away. After all was clear, I moved him into the new tank and two days later the spots appeared again. None of the other fish in my tank had or got ich. It just repeated the treatment process. I have had him for about two months and again, the spots showed up just not as bad. As of today, they have gone away on thier own. He eats, swims freely and is very active so I just try to keep a close eye on him to make sure things don't start going downhill!!

Yea he seems fine and eats just fine. I think his was just marks from him fighting with tank mates. They are all gone now.
