Brown Recluse spider

Seriously those are some nasty spiders. I won't post any of the bite pics I've seen on google images (very graphic), but they do a lot of damage.

Beautiful spider!

We don't have Brown Recluse spiders here in Oregon, but that doesn't stop the Meth-Heads from blaming their necrotic lesions on the much-maligned Brown Recluse.

According to one study I read up to 95% of "spider-bites" diagnosed by general practitioners are misdiagnosed...
 
nice shots. did it stay still on its own or did you restrain it somehow?
spiders are cool in general, but I like the fact that they use copper instead of iron in their blood and have an open ended circulatory system.

Gorgeous photos! What camera are you using for those bad boys? I could almost see eyeball glare in the pics of its face! lol. Seriously, some awesome pics of a really freaky thing...Props to you for even taking them!
 
is this your pet or just one you found in your house i hope if its from your house you kill it cuz that is one nasty bite.
