I noticed that all a majority of my sleet rock in my tank have large brown patches on them. I just took them out and washed them off and it went away, but does anybody have any idea on what this could be? im guessing most likely some kind of algae?Anybody else ever have this. oh and its also growing on some of my plants

I find it a little slower growing, and more difficult to remove but otherwise a minor thing, just particularly unsightly.

I believe brown algae is a sign of high nitrates... I think that is what it is but I know it is common is newer tanks, less then a year...
diatoms. how long has that tank been set up? btw us ladies on this forum really appreciate your avatar. im on a search for a full frontal of naked brad pitt for all of you men to enjoy.
