We were using 1" x 1" pieces of cut bait from suckers(river carp).

Those are some nice Browns, especially for a river. This summer we're planning a four-day trip to Wickiup Reservoir, hopefully we'll be catching some of the big Browns it's famous for!

I wish you luck with that fishing trip. I live on the south end of Bend near Sunriver. We are planning on taking a trip up there ourselves.

The Owyhee River where we catch those big Browns is over by Vale, about a 260 mile run from here but well worth it.
