Everything's tougher in Texas

For real. When I was in Houston I got bit by fire ants multiple times, your crazy striped big mosquitos, and when swimming off Galveston beach got hit by a jellyfish or the spines of some kind of fish. The fish all started jumping out of the water about 12 feet away n I got close to see what kind of fish then realized that's classic escape-from-big-predator behaviour and backed off a bit. Had marks on my neck and chest after going a good 100 feet off beach. I'm that ******* who always goes too deep lol

Yeah... Fire ants are everywhere, mosquitoes congregate on doors and windows waiting to be let in, ALL the fish seem to have some way to hurt you (I once had a catfish jam his entire pectoral fin into my ankle...) Oh yeah, you probably just ran into some moon jellies.. We also get these things with brown stripes on top that hurt much much worse. Sorry to derail your thread... Back on topic: could we get enclosure pics?

No problem Texas was awesome, I'm in the middle of remodeling it right now, I'll have pix up in the next few days and I'll update! He's in a temp setup right now that's nothing special
