Really Joe?? Springsteen;'s music doesn't send messages to society?? You haven't been listening hard enough. He writes more than half his music in responses to something that happens in the real world. Hence, the entire The Rising album. I have never heard anything from Dylan that means anything to anyone.
 
The message that The Rising conveys is that 9/11 was bad. Really? I didn't know that! Thanks, Bruce! :P
 
That is stupid. The message of The Rising is of hope and resillience. A few days after 9/11, Bruce drove down to Asbury Park and stared at the beach, and the person in the car next to him rolled the window down, said "We need you now", and drove off. That's why Bruce wrote The Rising.

And thanks for filling my phone with Bob Dylan songs, I almost fell asleep... GAH Dylan makes me sad :cry:

I might add, there is ONE Dylan song I like, which is Like a Rolling Stone. I actually am very fond of it. But the rest... :OMG: :barf:
 
Don't like either, but Bob Dylan's music is boring and TBH his voice isn't that great. Trying to convey a message is great in music, but it doesn't make the music good without some support from the music itself.

I think Bob Dylan is a genius when it comes to writing songs, i like his voice, and I think he is great with the harmonica.
