Thank you. As I said, I've never kept a JD before, but now I'm interested in them, lol.

that JD is flawless. Nice job saving all those fish.

If i had enough tanks, i would love to do that too.
Thank you. The JD has been raised since he was 2" in the tank with just the Pleco which would explain is good condition. Although, there is a darker story that the previous owner told me about when he was first purchased...

That is such a good thing you are doing, you got some really nice fish also I really like bruce!, and that really makes me mad how someone could do that to the little sunfish! they ned to be put in a room tied up and made to go a long time without eating .... It is totally uncalled for
Thanks you, I"m trying my best to help out around here. And Bruce is one of my favorites now, lol. Having trouble trying to get some weight on the Green Sunfish, but he as gained a little. And it takes awhile for a fish to get that underweight, which just pisses my off.

Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you, and I will make sure I keep updating this thread with any new rescues.

Now for some scary news... I took the JD and put him with Bruce...:WHOA: :nilly:
lol, but there hasn't been any issues so far. The JD is only 5" and Bruce is 14"... but there hasn't been any problems so far. A little bit of aggression at first, but none that I can see right now having it be day 2 now.

The rescued breeding group of Cichlids had one female that had already had eggs, which has been watched for awhile now and she still hasn't released the fry, but should be close to releasing them. She is in a 10-Gallon by her self. I also just checked the main tank where they all are and saw yet another female has eggs. Hopefully it all goes well and I get some healthy fry.

A fantastic tank setup and oscar.
Thanks guys.

I was hoping that my next post on here I would have some fry pics, but nothing yet. I tried to get the fry out of the mouth of the female my self, but no luck, lol. Never tried it before.
Also, Bruce has had ich for the past four days or so, which is being treated and is slowly disappearing. He is getting very aggitated though, and a 14" upset Oscar isn't something to mess with, lol.
Hopefully my next post on this thread will have better news.

News didn't really get any better, lol. The female Cichlid ate the fry, and Bruce seems to be doing worse. Although the JD is up and about, which is good. I am treating the tank with Pimafix for Velvet. (The JD has it) The ich is now gone.
My next rescue will be a 12" Tilapia that also has HITH, and possibly a large Mono and 4" Green Terror. But first I want to get the Velvet issue under control.

Don't do titles like that, I thought you were yelling at me!!! :D

Anywho, great looking fish and I think it's great what you are doing.

Hows the Green Sunfish doing ?
Better, and has gained some weight, but very little. I will be putting him into a larger tank today, and I will posts picks once he is all settled in. ;)

And thank you.:)

Haven't had much go on lately. Sadly, I couldn't take in the 12" Tilapia. Just didn't have the room, and sounds to be very aggressive.
BUT, it sounds like I will be going to rescue another JD. Doesn't sound to be in as good of shape as the first, but a rescue none the less.

Great.....I have a soft-spot for natives, Im happy to hear someone is doing this....there is a great need and I wish you all the luck in the world
