Man what a beast he's awesome. Absolutely love that fish. I really hope these little 1 inchers I got turn out like this guy. How did you end up wrangling him out of the tank?
A 16inch fish squeezed into a 10inch net is always going to be fun. Water everywhere lol

I've had limited success, but moreso than with nets alone, using a small bucket in the tank. So essentially I would net them head first then direct them into the bucket in the tank and pull the bucket out with water and fish inside.
