For those into Tetras
Caught these is the fast flowing waters of the Rio Pacora, Rio Canitas, Panama and in the calm waters of Lake bayano

Released them because didn't think they'd survive 4 days in a bucket at the hotel.
Water was cool, generally quite hard, with a pH around 8, with almost 0 nitrate

Thanks for sharing the live action pics.
Do they live in the faster current or just enter it during the day for feeding?

The current where I found the largest concentration of tetras, was quite fast flowing,
Enough so that when I lost a flip flop, and it was long gone in seconds before I could even get close to retrieving it.
There were a few of those same tetras in the more peaceful waters of Lake Bayano, but in very reduced numbers.
