I generally agree, too.

But with the unsteady future and rising gas prices, sometimes whats cheaper wins over whats natural.

Nothing wrong with filling a bucket up with dirt, collecting some wood for them to climb on. Its all free for you to be able to save your pennies for gas

So Alex what do you use for your lizards? :)

I use dirt sand dirt mix... holds burrows well and most of the time its free when I go and dig it up.

This is true, but you just want to becareful were you are acquiring this natrual decor and substrate.

There has never been a problem with getting dirt from my backyard. I dig about 2-3 feet deep where the moist sand/dirt mix is at. They dont chew on dirt.....they use it as refuge and to nest in.

Not everyone has the safe and all natural decor to just go pick out whatever. Thats why people, not only need to do research on the animal that they are caring for, but also need to do some research in thir own area to be certaint that they are acquiring a completly natrual and safe object.

That is common sense....

Theres lots of people out their that are sadly un caring of their pets and don't bother to research.
