rock in water
Okay is this the beginning of DE?! There is a little bubble that pops up everytime my silver swims along the glass I cant really get a good pic of it because it's always moving but you can kind of see it. My ? is if I pop this bubble will it end up blinding him or causing him to lose his eye or will it be alright?! Anyone else ever notice this on their arowanas?!

First time ive ever heard of this.
I wouldnt pop it if it was my arowana though. Let nature take its course and see what happens.
Hows your water parameters? Is he acting normal? If so just leave it.

He's acting perfectly normal Im just curious because I rather him not have DE it only occurs on his left eye.

Temp - 85
ph - 8.0
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 15

It looks like pop eye, one of my saltwater fish had it, my damsel to be exact. I put him in captivity and he died before it went away, Im sure it wasnt because of the pop eye though.

from the pix ( not perfect, sorry, I know how it is )that is the starting of DE....the fat accumulation behind the eye isn't consolidated yet so it still "moves". And it justly pops up and appears when the eye goes against the tank glass...
I wouldn't worry one second. DE comes with the territory...

BUMP - (sorry just want to see what everyone thinks of the operation)

Ok, so my aro has what seems to be like the start of DE and Im wanting to know if this operation is safe or not?! Are they just trimming the fat around the eye (bubble)?! Or are they suturing it back in and everything as well I cant really tell. Majority of the operation is in the last 2 vids Any input would be appreciated, Thank You.

I noticed that too after watching your video on AC, was gonna ask you about it. The Eyes of your silver seem a lot rounder than normal (or am I going crazy?) even though there is no drop eye. Compare your aro's eyes to the eyes of these silvers from Koji.

My silver has a slight case of DE in his right eye, but his good eye is flush up against his head like Koji's Silvers. Not completely flat of course, but there's not as much bulge. So who knows, maybe thats just the way your silver is.
