I noticed that too after watching your video on AC, was gonna ask you about it. The Eyes of your silver seem a lot rounder than normal (or am I going crazy?) even though there is no drop eye. Compare your aro's eyes to the eyes of these silvers from Koji.

My silver has a slight case of DE in his right eye, but his good eye is flush up against his head like Koji's Silvers. Not completely flat of course, but there's not as much bulge. So who knows, maybe thats just the way your silver is.

Yes his eye use to be the same way as Koji's silvers are but within the past 2 months he developed those bubbles. The eye is fine and he can still see very well just whenever it swims against glass it makes the bubble larger. I dont know if the Red in the vid had the same condition or not but I was curious because they were mainly cutting off a layer in the top of the eye which is similar to my aro's case.

Has the aro banged against the tank cover? That is one pouch of "fatty tissue " that is associated with the beginning of DE but it happens that if they seriously hit the cover that pouch comes slightly out and stays there ( not just when the eye is glued against the tank glass )..One of mine has it, the pouch popped out with a head bang, and stood out. Worsened the DE in that eye, but I wiould not bother and stress it with operations...leave it be.

Hmmm...... he did jump out a couple months back (introduction of giant danios into tank, he went crazy with them so removed them from tank) but I placed him back in quickly so that may be the cause. So is their anyway of making the bubble less obvious or go away Miguel?!

already saw that vid but still cant get over it.. everytime i see that vid, my heart beats faster.. as if im trembling.. lol

bar operating ( which I would not do ) I see no way of taking it out....

it maybe the start of pop-eye?

Yes, Miguel said the same before his response is below. I think thats what it is as well. It may be due to the jump he made awhile back Im really not sure.

from the pix ( not perfect, sorry, I know how it is )that is the starting of DE....the fat accumulation behind the eye isn't consolidated yet so it still "moves". And it justly pops up and appears when the eye goes against the tank glass...
I wouldn't worry one second. DE comes with the territory...

I saw a show an animal show on TV before of workers at a Aquarium, and they had a huge grouper with pop eye, they said they werent sure what caused it but after some testing they think it is a bacterial infection.

Nobody has, as far as I remebre, mentioned Pop Eye. Pop Eye is a disease. Drop Eye is a condition, which unfortunately is quite common in captive silvers.

Your aro is developing Drop Eye ( DE ) not pop eye...
