bucket o' motas

i am thinking that they are loisellei not motas. here are some pics i stole off the net to compare.

1st is a female rt mota
2nd is loisellei pair
3rd is yellow mota female
4th is a lloisellei female

you can see the the same head shape in the females as you can in your females. most parachromis sp. look alot alike when young. so your males are going to look similar to a mota but i am about 90% sure loisellei. maybe make a poll on the subject...

The first picture on the second page does look a little like the Yellow Head. However the the third photo is Motaguense. WHere did you buddy say he got them. Far as I know only a few folks are actually selling the Yellow Head. Grow them out a little and see what develops.

themancmt...you didn't stela them, bro. They were already posted here. No problemo.

i think he got them from grey at wetspotcx
whats up hailmike, they came from grey at wetspotcx and they are true rtm, this race will color up from 4 to 5 inches, they will be sweet. body shape is like that because they are very fat.

i have a 3" male RTM that is already colored up. I would like to know the collecting point of this race and any pics of adults from there? i would be interested in a different rtm pair.

Those are great! Good luck with them. Whatever strain they are, I am sure they will show thier true colors as they grow. Either way I am sure you will be sporting a huge grin :grinno: every time you step up to thier tank.

They are fo sho not Loisellei. Motags tend to get their colours more as they mature, give them time. I think they look like Motags more than anything else, just havent gotten their mature red colouration. They are still young and the shapes of the head is most likely different sexes.
