2nd the thought on a cuttle bone.

It took my parakeet about 5 clutches before she got it right. She would either throw the eggs out of teh box or just smash them.

I've had a couple of clutches and the best piece of advice I can give is WATCH MOM'S SEX DRIVE---seriously, after the eggs hatch and the babies grow a some feathers, make sure she is still feeding them......if not, it means she wants to lay another batch and will kill them (my first clutch died after mama budgie poked holes in their heads trying to make them leave the nest)

Wait so have they hatched? If they have not hatched yet then there is a possibility they are infertile. And alo alot of first time layers mess it up.
