I'll start by showing the tools used, and what the tank looked like to begin with :D

I started by cleaning all algae with scrub brush , and wiping out the inside making sure to get any sand or grit particles out of the tank .

I then applied Novus #3 ,and followed that with Novus #2 . I buffed it by hand using Novus Polish mates to give me a better feel .. just in case i missed any sand or grit while cleaning.

as you can see it did pretty well just leaving a slight blur to the finish, and a few minor scratches .

.. after hand buffing the entire tank , I then applied Novus #2 (fine scratch remover ) using power buffer :naughty: ... working it in thoroughly (until near dry) before wiping it clean again with Novus polish mate .

Looks fantastic:headbang2----I have shyed away from a few tanks that looked like that because I thought there was no hope for them. I was wrong it looks like new.

Thanks for making this thread, I am about to do the same thing to my tank.

Were the little bottles enough or did you need extra?

How did you get all the polish out of the tank to make it fish safe again? That is the part I am concerned with.

How long did it take you to complete?
