BUILD A 4000GALLON TANK

The glass was free on my 1000 gallon tank and it still cost me $4000 in materials. That's a 10'x4'x4' concrete block tank.
I'll just say it's going to cost more than you think and it's the little stuff that adds up. One of the other big expenses is the sealer. Plan it all out well first.

I haven't built a monster, but I plan to some day... However, a 2k budget will not cut it for a salt tank. I did a little shopping around trying to find a protein skimmer that would go up that high.
I didn't look very hard, and just went to a couple of websites. The largest protein skimmer I could find, was up to 2k gallon tank. They starting price of these skimmers was 2.2k and they did NOT include the pump.
Sorry, you need atleast another 10k in money for this project. If you add live rock, you need alot more money. The lights needed for this is going to cost you around 2k.
Forget salt at this level. Sea World seems a good adoption place for this pet.

wow thanks for the input everyone. do you think putting him in an above ground pool would be okay? i think the other guy said this as a joke but it would be cheap to get i big ass pool?
I decided to do more research on this. The black tip shark you want to house, grows to 6feet long.
I wouldn't recommend attempting to house this thing unless you have a few acres your willing to turn into a pond.
