Building a 10,000-13,000gallon pond

It caved in on us.No underground caverns it just fell-in.

I know how permits go, they suck!!Just tell them your building a swimming pool.

People are people you know that, there are things that you see that other people have.

Sounds to me that you have the best place in town, i would feel the same way if my neigbours were like that, also sounds like a bunch of punks just doing what they do best. Just catch em one day take them out back and have fun!!!

All i am saying is just be careful!!If one day you went out there and saw a kid in that hole and ( i hope to god it never happens! ) it caved-in, just seeing that will change you forever, if there is no barricade or fence you will get blamed, city, towns, villages all have their ordiances but when it comes to the safty of people you will lose and it sucks, it doesn't matter how far away your property is it can be 5', it can be a field, if someone got hurt on your property, you can be liable for it, postings, signs can help to a certain degree to keep them off, but people are always curious thats what make us human.Be prepared for them to say you need a trench box.Your saftey and others comes first, when it comes to paper work for a job like this just cover your ass on all sides!

i feel bad for you.the samr thing happened to my uncle
a hole caved in on him when he was diging a hole for a septice tank
he had to have his leg removed last month he may loose the other
and it's permantly changed him
so yes you have to be very careful and prepare for the worst
even if you dig a 2' foot pound someone could hit their head and fall in and drown
i almost drown at 7 years old in about 4 foot of water i don't really remember how i fell but i got knocked cold and had to have cpr done
so theres always a possibility of someone getting hurt

first off have been reading your threat all nite new here wish it was finisht after almost 2 years and if someone did that to my car and i knew i would do worst thing to their car if they don't have it to their house

Yeah but i can am 27 will be 12 metres long 4/5 metre width and 1/2.5 metre deep building that in backyard and also a pool few metres next to it and bigger :)but seeing all this need to save up some more to do all that lolz
or bro has to get another loan both living at his house plenty of space
just have to finish my shark/stingray pond first stones are almost there then need to made it waterproof with concrete sealer and pond sealer :nilly:
some idea for the bigger pond and pool different sealers ofcourse
this wil be in L shape 3 metre long 60 cm high and 60 cm width and other side of it 180 cm long and 80 width and 60 cm high all in a shed taking photo's of it tomorrow post them all when it's finisht and running :nilly:
will be building bigger one in a other shed after it for if sharks getting bigger :D my brothers are helping to

Hope the counsill here doesn't give me a hard time when building pool/pond and other unit cause else i throw them i my sharkstingray pond LOLZ

and if i catch a kid in my yard there are warning signs for dogs so they better watch out for them instead of falling in pond or pools

if any ideas for shark/stingray pond IM me them at this time wanne build a sump next to it and let that return in a waterfall something and heat it in there also
 
Yea you have to watch when constructing something of this magnitude without the proper shoring otherwise you will be involved in a trench collapse like the other individual. But this should be one amazing pond when complete.
 
problem is that i went to the city, they said that i wont need any paperwork for what in doing, i showed them all of my documentation, pictures is the site, described the size and showed them shere i live...

they said, oh no its your land you can do with it what you wish, build a bunker if you want... well it desnt seem so dose it? not that im bitter, gave me time to think and stratigize for a early start next year.
