no, never asked, or thought about it. Honestly, it would cost them more for a plane ticket than I spent on their product. Doesn't make much business sense to me. What's ironic, is that I was pretty much done posting about them and this until he posted in this thread. That just caused me to get more agitated. I was looking at other options in my last post and was done ranting about my experience with them. i spared posting all the details of our discussions on this thread until he posted here.

Plane tickets are a business expense. Expenses are incurred by business when they are trying to attract new custom ( among many other things...) or trying to keep existing ones.....

wow. Just got this email:

We will be crediting your credit card for the order placed today (order canceled). There hasn’t been the proper amount of material applied to this tank from the very beginning. Throwing this little bit of product at the big problem you have created is not the way we do business.

after they told me that this is what I would need to do to fix the problem.

I had issues with them as well with my 450g Plywood. My seal on the wood was fine, perma/LRB/perma, but their reccomended TAV/LRB mixture for sealing the glass to the permaflex ended with me having a very crappy looking front pane.......

??? So 4+ coats aren't enough even though they recommend only 3?

no, I think they claim because I haven't provided photos of the first coat of permaflex on the entire tank that I have caused these pin holes to leak. I don't know. I give up trying to figure this company out. Nothing but problems. This is just another example of stellar customer service. I responded asking how do I fix the problem then? No response. I'm sure they wont respond.

Oh well. On to the next issue. I might grind on this stuff with a grinder then install a thick coat of concrete over top of it. Then seal that with pond armor. Or go the hardiboard/drylok (proven) route.

Very unprofessional when a company rep would rather fight it out then try to make the customer happy no matter who's mistake it is. Its pretty safe to say that the 80,000+ people who have viewed this thread know the name Sani-tred and will always think of it in a negative manner. Sanitred needs a PR rep. Good luck Wizzin. I know it bites to be so close and cannot finish.

Here's what kills me.

from an older email:
These may be areas that need LRB/TAV mixture. This is a simple fix:

· Thoroughly wipe the area using Xylene and a rag

· Apply a small dab of LRB/TAV mixture to the hole

· Topcoat the spot using 1 coat of PermaFlex

and now the story changes again to:

There hasn’t been the proper amount of material applied to this tank from the very beginning. Throwing this little bit of product at the big problem you have created is not the way we do business

It's all this conficting information they keep giving out. One minute it's a simple fix, and the next, there is no way to fix it. It's a total loss. Don't know why they didn't tell me it was a total loss the first time I asked.

What new piece of information did they get that lead them to this brilliant conclusion?

When I called earlier today and talked to a woman, I asked her how much I would need to patch the walls. I told her the square footage, and she told me how much I would need. That's what I ordered. Why didn't she inform me at that time that there was no way to fix it?

I just checked my bank account, and they haven't credited my money back yet.

man you should file a lawsuit for full price of the project + whatever sum of money you think the time and aggravation is worth.

I know what product I won't be using for my future pond.

Not to beat a dead horse... but After reading the last 6 or so pages sanitred still hasn't answered the question...

"So it doesn't leak when it's half full, why does it leak when it's full?" How do I solve it?"

And let me get this straight. You called and ordered more product from them, then they refused to send it to you??

WTF?

Not to mention the balls it took for that guy to post on this thread????? That's insane and poor buisiness any way you look at it.

With my experience with them, which is no where near what you're going through, was enough for me not to call them back. And I only spent $177!!

And again, they sure as heck didn't sell me enough product..... WTF?
