building a 1000 gal concrete block monster tank

sorry bout that. These aren't the most current pics. The sides are actually on. I got wrapped up in sealing the tank last night and didn't get done til REAL late! I'll post more tomorrow. I gotta build the stand to carry the one rubbermaid container this weekend and hopefully get the tank sealed completely (minus the floor) and maybe start on the background.
If they can't survive in TFG's tank, then there's no way they'll make it in mine. I am actually going to start with convicts. Get 4 pairs or so.

Awesome, also man can't wait for it to be done. what are you going to put in there, big old boulders, and huge drift wood? that have like 6 foot peices @ my fish store only 40 bucks
another update. These were from the other day. I'll try to take more today. This one shows the installation of the sides. My photos are a little behind my work since I usually don't have time to upload the pics from the day before. I have to upload them from my camera, then re-size them, then upload them to a website I host, then post here, so there's a little "lag".
The sanitred LRB/TAV is AWESOME stuff! After using this stuff, I remembered and realized why I went with sanitred vs. going with something else. I was intrigued by the pond armor, but they don't have a product that can fill in gaps/cracks like the LRB. It's really easy to work with, and is STRONG!!! It doesn't stink too bad. It's got a smell a bit like latex/urethane mixed, but much weaker smelling than the later.
Here's the TAV. I didn't take a pic of the LRB, since it just looks like white latex.
This is after you mix the LRB/TAV (2 parts LRB to 1 part TAV)
This is the LRB/TAV applied to the contact side of one of the side frames.
This is an interior view of the side rail installed and the joint sealed with LRB
The other side.
patchwork on the endwall. Filling in little holes and joint lines etc. More of this in the next batch of pix.

Even closer closeup of one of the corners. Messy, but it will get another bit of LRB and a final coat or 2 of permaflex over top.
I got all the nuts on every connecting bolt and only lost 1 nut
I used a dowel rod with duct tape on the end and used that to start the washers/nuts. My wife assisted in turning the bolts to get the threads started. Once started I used a long wrench and sat it on the bolt and sinched it down from the outside. I've never built anything so solid in my life! It's crazy. You can grab the rails and yank and it's like trying to pull a concrete wall out. Um. Wait a minute that's what it is... 8" of solid concrete and rebar.
I rechecked the glass opening, and it's dead on. I've got about 1/4" on each side for the lrb to squeeze out of. Seeing it mostly sealed at this point, I'm getting very excited! If I sealed the floor and got the glass in, it would be ready for water! I just don't want to rush it. My goal is to be done sealing and get the background started this week. If I can round up my peeps, maybe next weekend I'll get the glass in. We'll see...
