Is that a Roebiodes Bouchellei?
 
Just a thought on your top. You said you had a couple fish jump out and was not to happy with your top. I was thinking a net "like they use for ponds" might be something to look into. I think they make them with small enough holes to stop your fish from getting out. Not sure as it looks like some of your fish might be a little smaller than I may think. A net would not block to much light and could be setup to be pretty easy to use. It might change your humidity down there though. Anyway, just a thought.
 
Yes netting is being looked at to help, but I will have to keep the tops there as well to keep the evaporation down.
