building a 500 gallon plywood tank

Bump for an update, cant wait to get my build started, 3 more weeks then finally moving outta this apartment into my house
 
i made my canopy , but after putting it on my tank , was 18 inches tal , i thought was too tall , i cut in in half , i rough out my canopy , going to have 3 opening in the front and 1 on side
 
my tank is 8 feet long , so i couldnt do my canopy little bit longer and have it hang on the tank , i used my extra plywood that was left over from my tank build , so instead i added 2x2 on the top of tank ,both sides of the tank so it works as a step so the canopy cant just slide off , since it was just really sitting on the top
