Nice pond! I prefer sand.

Is there anything in between the liner and the timbers and what did you use for the bottom?

I need to build one for my sons RES and I love how the timbers look on yours. were looking @ 450g.

Old carpet under the liner.

can you take some pics of you filtration? want to get an idea for a setup
I can take some pic's tomorrow and post them for you 35 dollar filtration set up water is as clear as can be been circulating for a week and a half now with some gold fish. The only thing i have left to get is a inline uv clarifier.

I might think about putting rays and catfish together. The rays might sting the cats.

But other then that, Awesome work. I like the spray bar and the water fall.

I would go bare bottom.

good job putting it together ... question: do you use angle irons or a steel rod through the wood?
No i didn't use steel rods.I used the next best thing which is long screws 4 1/2 inchers.every 6 inches or so and i over lapped the timbers at the corners for added stregnth.

I thought about that too.Do you think that would be a big issue.I see people on here do it quite often i might start a new trend on that and research it a little more.

unless the cats constantly harrass the rays ... as the last defense they MIGHT sting them. For the most part rays are powerful and not easily intimidated therefore see no need to use their stinger.
