So i currently have a very small overflow hangover box for my 120 gallon.
I wanted to get a larger overflow.
Can anyone show me how to make one or the Thread to the DIY overflow. the threads i founded was 2 years ago, so it wasnt very helpful

Here's the layout of the DIY overflow.

For lack of a better name, I call that design the "alternate design". I like the vent looping back to the tank for that design. I had seen it for the regular design once before. The outside loop can be shorter; there isn't an advantage for it being long.

On another note, this design doesn't flow as well as the one with the tee lower on the loop.

By the way, what part of Florida are you from?

Treasure Coaster here.
I made the, what could be called "water storage"legs xtra long so the unit would be supported by tank rim and stand top.
The siphion break "T" is higher than normal because the largest sump I could fit in my stand was a little under 8gal.

well that was helpful

Sorry, we seem to have gone off on a PVC overflow tangent.
I made a skimmer/overflow out of large fish bagger boxes, Dr.F&S
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=15485
I drilled hole for 1 1/2 PVC electrical conduit fittings, which I used as a bulkhead. The other box was cut in the normal "toothed" top for the skimmer.
Then you add as many "U" tubes as you need to reach your target flow rate..it took 2, 1 1/4id tubes for mine.
After all was said and done, probably could have got one on e-bay.
