Amazing tanks-very interested in your plumbing for the FX5...what size PVC did you use? The bottom tube is an extended inlet right? Very clever:headbang2
Thanks bro. Its 3/4" pvc. It slides into the FX5 tubing perfectly. Yes its a extended intake. This way it will be very hard to ever get clogged. Plus the way I position the intake and the spray bar is perfect circulation. Nothing gets left on the bottom.

your setup is amazing. I would hate to imagine how much you are paying for water and electricity every month.

Did you paint the bottom of the tank or is that some kind of black film?
They are all painted on the back and bottom with acrylic paint. I could peel them all off and chacnge the color if I wanted to . LOL!

Looks amazing , all those tigers :-)...;)

i've been very tempted to modify my fx 5 outlet, as you have done, but by converting to a spray bar, is the outflow rate reduced in any way?

Question applies to using only 1 fx5 in my 100G tank, with a back up 405 running as well.

the flow rate will still be the same, it will kinda feel like it is less though since it is spread out. On my first FX5 I modded it to dual outlets and that hasnt effected the flow rate.

And datnoid101, just mail all your dats to me I will take care of them when you are on your trip. I promise to give them back when you return... you can trust me J... :grinno:

Nice work man keep it up.

Bushfish R... u say u middified the fx5 to have dual outlets, but doesnt the fx 5 come with a dual outlet? (the piece tahts connects to the outlet tubing has dual out put..think this is standard in uk)

I have a return from one of my FX5s in either corner of my 220, so not the std. nozzle which I use on my newest FX5.

edit:

Here is a pic, the white pipes are my DIY returns.
