IN YOUR HEAD
i am building a stand that is 6' long and 19" wide. so now that i have a stand, i have to buy a 125gal to put on it. i just am not sure what route to go. i love ancient fishes and have gars, aros, catfish, bowfin ect. in tanks right now. i am kinda pondering what to do with this new 125 gal. i have been pondering doing a salt, but at the same time i am kinda board with salt.

here are things i have thought of.

wolffish
piranhas
s.a cichlids
african cichlids
pbass

and a few others i can't think off of hand right now, but what are your ideas?

South Americans or Africans.......got any shots of the stand?

i have not got it complete yet, but i have taken a few pics of my dad with it will we were building it today. i'll through them up and more as i go. it will have a 40breeder centered below it. i will be staining it natural cherry. i am going to be redoing my other stands to match. all the wood, stain and screws came out to about $100 for this stand.

Sounds good man.I am going to build a two tier stand for my 75 and a smaller tank for my feeders below.

what would you recommend for sa cichlids?

I've always liked the nicaraguense-beautiful colors once they settle in and you could add a few eartheaters for a peaceful display.

here is some pics of the stand so far. we only had a few hours to work on it today witch included getting the wood and planning it. it is just the skeleton of it, will have more pics tomorrow night after i get the finishing wood on it, stain and maybe some lacquer.

Looks really good so far.

Just commenting on the stand. Very nice father and son project. Can't wait for my son to grow up, he's showing interest in tools at a very young age.
