building a tank for aquascape

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I did NOT read all the pages, sorry.
If you are doing any rocks, go to a quarry. Kinda a hidden gem and cheaper than ANY aquarium store/outlet. I went there when I set up my 55 and picked out some nice riverstones, the right size and shape, and was able to land alot of smaller stones in a variety of colors, shapes.
Just a thought.

Sorry to hear about the breakup man, best of luck to you and when u do get a chance to come back to this project we will still be waiting.

You have done an awesome job up to this point, take care of the more serious issues, mfk will be right here.

some good news. i have found a place that will take pets. i can walk out my back door and instead of a garden i have a work shop that i could fit 10 of my builds in with know problem and the land lord is fine with building fish tanks in it. the only bad thing is i have to do some work to the house because its had some abuse over the years. but i did get it cheep . i just hope this is a fresh start for me and i can get my life back on track .

im going to have to get a crain to move the tank from my old house as the only way to get it out is up and over. should be fun. will get some pics when i move it. then i think im going to build a stand so the filters etc an go under it... will be about 2 weeks before the build is back on.

hi everyone bin sometime since i did anything on the tank due to moving house ect. im now on holiday from work and have everything i need to get the tank finished . on with the build

your tank looks great, although with the size of it i would have braced the outsides but that is just me. any ideas for stocking... i saw a few months back you weren't really sure?? i am in the middle of a 370 gallon build right now. good luck with the fill !!!
