As always agrea replies. thank you.

The 8ft tank is on hold unfortunatley, as i am moving out of my parents house v soon and into my own place. so i am unfortunatley in the position where i have to seel up all my fish and equipment and start again when i am settled in my new place.
Very sad for me. So we'll see what the future holds for me, i may even be able to go bigger in my new place in time.

Have you any more pictures of you Boulengerchromis microlepis?

Sorry you will be out of the hobby for a time.

None recent and most are pretty poor but when Rusty Wessell visits this month I will see if he can take some.

These first few are my biggest one that died in 2007.

The last pic is my current one.

Are you Big Rich?

How many guys in Cleveland/Strongville have 4,000 gallon tanks?

lol you are close, i am bigrich's son we get into this hobby together, i do all the driving to pick up the fish(washington, nyc, etc.), and he does most of the tank upkeeps, except im the one who gets stuck cleaning the inside of the tanks:ROFL:

and i believe we are the only guys in ohio with a 4,000 gallon tank, as only 3 of this style tank were made.

You have a fantastic family and he is lucky to have you drive all over the country picking up those fish from Ted in Washington and then helping drive the tank and stand back from NY. It sounded like a very scary ride home with the 4000 sliding the trailer all over the place.

That 4000 tank is awesome. I know you are moving soon and going to set it up in that indoor swimming pool room of your new house.

How many gallons does that indoor monster pool hold?

37-38" aba :WHOA:, i thought my 22" was dangerous , he is by far the biggesst ive seen in captivity, besides zoos.

Abas are great and you have a nice size one please show us some pictures of it.

The biggest I have ever seen was a 60" one at the Toronto zoo that died in the 1990's.

i have only ever seen one of them for sale once!! it looked quite appealing to me lol

Have you ever kept Shark Catfish? (Arius Seemani/Jordani etc )

well thank you ,it was a long trip to washington but i never said them fish were from ted (evil grin), the guy i got them from wanted to remain anonymous :D

as far as the trip to nyc my dad did the driving there with my older brother , so they dealt with the tank and the drive but thanks for the compliments

as far as the pool ill get exact dimensions and get back with you

p.s would you like to do some fish trading???

ive got a couple extra each 40-44" nigers, 36-40" rtc x tsn hybrids, 36" marble cats

I have had both for several years in my 15,000.

I got a pair of Tilapia buttikoferi given to me by a fellow in the ST Catharines Aq Society in 1999. The male was 9" and the female was 7". The male bred with the female several times in the tank but the fry never made it past about 1/2". In time the male injured the female and blinded her one eye. He died a couple of years ago and the female is still alive. Both got to be around 15". The female has not grown at all in the past few years.

I bought 3 Caquetaia umbrifera in 2002 at The Fish Place in North Tonawanda (Jake) at 1 1/2" for $7.99 each. Two were killed over the first 2 years and the last one a female died in the late fall of 2010 at 13"

Thank you for the detailed reply.

Always great reading your posts.
