all in all nice tank and how long did it take you to finish this

I started it in 1994 and had water in it over that winter. Continued working on the lighting, filtration, heating etc ever since and not anywhere close to being finished......

How do you remove Chlorine and such from the water source.

I don't have chlorine and maybe thats one reason some of my fish live so long.

I lucky and live in the country and use 2 wells.

Ahhh, thats pretty awesome. Very inspiring although my combined 187 gallons wear me out, I can only imagine....

Joe you are too busy taking pictures......

I checked out your website and you are good.

Just one picture of fish in your pet section better work on that....:grinno:

Like the dog pictures but you need birds too.

Did you build your set of outdoor ponds first or the set of super tanks first?

Do you think that a stardard 1960's house basement cement floor would be able to hold the weight of a 2000 gallon cinder block tank?

I have about a dozen outdoor ponds plus another eight 300 to 400g vats for breeding/raising outside. The ponds I built/acquired before, during and after the 2 big tanks were built.

You will need an engineer to check the concrete basement before you construct your tank. He will advise you what will be needed.
