Building new ray pond

Huge acrylic tank was not big enoung and sold to a customer, Yeah walking space is tight as hell but hey it's the price you pay to GO BIG. We will soon remove the 210's and 180's in the center row and build another 20 x 7 x 4 wood pond there using the existing pond wall on that side.
 
Looks nice, but why so high? Putting a 2' high one on the table would be my plan if it is just for rays.

Due to my existing sump setup I must have a minimum height of 36" for my water line in order to properly drain so figured another 12" to keep rays and other fish from jumping, Plus 2x4's are 8ft high so might as well cut them in half and have no scrap.
 
awesome set up mike.... im do to come up there again.... hmm road trip after vacation sounds good :D cant wait to see all the leo's in there....
 
you are moving much faster than I am. sched 40 bulk heads? very nice. I wish I had space like you. can't wait to see the rays in it...
