I'm considering getting a 120g acrylic tank to keep some medium sized semi-peaceful fish (think severums). It has filtration already built into the back of the tank. In the past, I've always used canister filters. Is this built in filtration good enough? If not, I don't want to lose tank space to it just to have to add a cannister anyway.

I got a half dozen of the uniquariums they been working for me perfectly!
I have swiss tropical poret matten filters setup in all of them along with cermedia spheres & K1.
You do loose the tank space but if you ever had a glass tank with a canister it really does just takes one unlucky moment.
