I am currently trying to decide how to build a good tank for 2 to maybe 3 freshwater stingrays. not to sure on what type yet. but i was thinking of the peruvian flower or a motoro morph or something.
anyways i was thinking of making it 48" long x 30" wide x 20" tall
what do you think? also i am lost with the filteration. not sure if i could just go with a AC500 or an XP4 or just go for an overflo?
thanks for the advice, in advance

i agree with mike
and i use nothing but wet dry they are the best to use with rays

i just got a FW stingray today and i herd about this thing called the death curl and my ray is curling up and then some times its not any tips??

post your own thread and pics

Death Curl is when the outter edges of a rays disk is infected with something or other and the ray doesnt let it touch the bottom. Very bad.

either longer or wider. ure choice, keeping in mind that surface area of the bottom is the main concern for stingrays. but there is no doubt that an 8'by3'by2' tank would last ure stingrays for life. better to start big rather than an upgrade in a year or two...saves money in the long run.

if yur going for a tank for life I would say more like 96"x48"x30" do a search in the diy section lots of good info on building tanks
