ive been tweaking my new set up and trying to get two of the bulkheads to stop leaking. Got one of them to completely stop and now the second went from having a small drip between the nut and the acrylic to now between the nut and threads. Any ideas on what to do? I have already hand tightened and then did a quarter turn with a wrench

Is the rubber gasket on the water side? Also if you got a lot of pipe weight on it especially side load it will sometimes leak.

Any hairline cracks in the flange of the bulkhead fitting? The same for the gasket? Cleaning the contact surfaces of the acrylic will help as well.

Checked before work this morning and there is no crack on the bulkhead. But I did take a measurement of the distance between the pipe and the back of the tank and it varies once it gets towards the bottom. Towards the bottom of the tank when it goes underneath is 1.75" away from the back panel while at the top closest to the bulkhead is 2". Could this be the problem? JK47 JK47

It may very well be it. Are you supporting the pipe under the stand to take the pressure off of the bulkhead fitting?

I am supporting it with a strap under the stand. Personally I think I am going to just rip the whole thing out and replace with a hose since I think it will make it easier on me and is less weight to support.

There comes a point where the joy of ripping that sucker out exceeds the joy of fixing the leak. I totally get that. Soft line is an easy fix, should be fine
