Bulkhead leaking

Do you have any pool supply places nearby? Some times they have a better stock on flex pipe then a hardware store will have.
Just an idea to throw at you, may help.

I work for a landscape design build company so I just used one of the places we order plumbing supplies from and got some good flex hose. little expensive though unfortunately. My issue now is I cant find 2" bulkheads anywhere. The ones my supplier had were heavy duty ones that are way to wide to fit in my overflow
 
May have to order on line. That's where I found mine. No where near me has this kind of plumbing

The leak is between nut and bulkhead, so I dont think teflon will work. Although the picture does show it leaking between pvc, I dont think thats what OP intended.

If that were me I'd give another shot with a different bulkhead. All you would need is extra PVC and half of the union.

You did a good job, so that's what Id do.

Lol i found out when I ordered my heater controller and he was like oh wow your only 25 minutes from us. But yes must be tough in your area!

Thanks man youve helped a ton on this build with ideas. Figured I am better off just redoing it now then to keep fiddling with it an possibly break something. only P.I.T.A is that the tank is filled plus has 250lbs of sand in it so it looks like its going to have to stay where it is for now
 
The teflon would only be useful if the bulks were double threaded, then would have to be cemented with the blue glue to the pvc or union. Are you using slip thread or thread thread?
 
I find that slip/slip usually have the most problems with leak issues.next is the slip/thread and depending on the work Elbow room space.thread/thread always seemnto work best imo
