Anyone ever keep bull heads?

Sorry I don't know the official name...I've always called them bullheads. I've now tried 2 times to keep these and I've been unsuccessful both times.

is there any special things I'd need to do. Do they need colder water. I got one to live for about and week and eat small chunks of earthworms. I thought he was going to make it but he didn't.

I don't know if this is the exact fish but this is the closest picture I could find of the fish I'm trying to keep.

Anyone have any luck with these guys.

The ones I have tried are 3 inches and like I said the one was eating worms, but died shortly after (lasted about a week and a half). The other two I've tried didn't make it two days.

My tank temp is about 74 to 76 degrees.

Is this too hot?

ya...they like cooler water...i usually find them at night when the water temps are in the mid 60's.

i tried a few in my old pond and they died in a few days.

Dr. Joe these are freshwater.

Yes, they do like cold water.

Derpeder... Are you purchasing these or catching them yourself? and where?

Thanks.
